Try to make your RV look as good as possible when you’re preparing it for trade-in. Take out all of your personal items, including any decorations, and do a thorough cleaning of the interior. Here are some things to do: 

  • Sweep and mop floors

  • Scrub all kitchen appliances and surfaces
  • Wipe down cabinet and closet interiors
  • Air out the RV and use a light air freshener to make it smell nice

Once every room inside is clean, you’ll want to wash the exterior of your RV so that you can get all the road grime off it. You can even apply a tire shine to the wheels and polish to the exterior to make it gleam.

Do Repairs

Hopefully, you’ve been maintaining your RV well while you owned and used it. Now is the time to make any necessary repairs, such as replacing light bulbs, lubricating slide-outs and seals, inspecting the power and water systems, patching your awning, and replacing tires.
